Smugglers Notch, Vermont

Wow! What a journey. It was a foggy, windy, and rainy day up on the mountain. The road winds around boulders and beneath 1,000-foot high cliffs that hem it down to one-lane. Out of this world scenery with trees growing on top of boulders with roots slowly winding their way around the rock.

Did you know that "gold custody is one of several financial services the Federal Reserve Bank of New York provides to central banks, governments and official international organizations on behalf of the Federal Reserve System. The New York Fed’s gold vault is on the basement floor of its main office building in Manhattan. The tall buildings of Manhattan mix in with the old towering headstones in Calvary Cemetery in Queens, NY. Three million people have been buried in this Roman Catholic cemetery since its establishment in 1848. Spanning 365 acres, the famous site contains the largest number of burials of any cemetery in the United States.
