Fort Jefferson
Looking across the turquoise blue water to Fort Jefferson which is part of the Dry Tortugas National Park and is about 70 miles from Key West, Fla and 111 miles from Havana, Cuba. This 100-square mile park is mostly open water with seven small islands and is only accessible by boat or seaplane. The park is best known for picturesque blue waters, outstanding coral reefs and marine life, and the vast assortment of bird life that frequents the islands that are the gateway to the western Caribbean
